Fifi Le Flea is, as you will be well aware,
the most famous flea in France and probably northern Europe - her ancestors lodged in the
hair of Marie-Antoinette. Her beauty and athletic prowess are a talking point in flea
circuses throughout the world.
Under the terms of Uncle Tim's new
contract Fifi has agreed to make a limited number of appearances in the Lake District for
a series of challenge races, to be staged at Uncle Tim’s Flea Circus.
This is an exclusive picture of Fifi at a secret
location, in training for her next challenge race.
Fifi has already built up a cult following from her
hugely successful appearances in Ulverston, Pennington, Baycliff and Askam.
Unfortunately these events have been sabotaged by
the unexpected and uninvited appearance of the Black Noir - without doubt the most evil
flea on earth!
Fifi travels from Paris to the Lakes by tunnel, as
might be expected, arriving on time despite the distance and the dirt. Regrettably, the
Black Noir has followed her down the tunnel and challenged her on each occasion; no other
opponent has dared to stand against him.
Immediately after each race the Black Noir has been
forced to return to France by tunnel pursued by the Fleacatcher. However, on the advice of
her personal bodyguard Fifi has avoided the tunnel and flown home in a privately chartered
hot air balloon.
In fact Uncle Tim has just been sent a picture of Fif'i's balloon over Kirkby Moor, on her way back to
Paris.
Under the terms of the agreement we are unable to
publicly disclose the outcome of the races.
